Hey everyone! It’s October which means like clockwork, everything starts to change and adapt for the upcoming weather. Yet just like nature, we too must change (maybe not for the weather 😄).
Let’s jump straight into some of the stuff I’ve been doing this month including my AI Focus Plans, Mindset Building and Joining KARMANT Learning.
My AI Focus Plans 🛫
Artificial Intelligence is such a broad area that can have impacts on billions of people! On my mission to become 10X 🦄, I see AI as an area with so much potential that needs to be addressed. In order to jump into AI I tried the course Fast.ai which was very useful. Try it here:
After this, I started thinking about my focus🤔. I think now that the area I want to go into is Generative Adversarial Networks.
Basically, this is a type of Machine Learning that involves a Generator (creating new data based on training data) and a Discriminator (which must decide whether it is real data or data made up by the Generator). This has so many applications mostly in image processing (see below) but my goal is to expand this to other areas (and prove that machines and humans have the same creativity 😉).
Building a Mindset 🐅
Along with mindsets such as bias towards action and curiosity, other things I am working on are reflection and observation.
For reflection, I am trying to find time to Meditate and set Action Items. I am using a course called Headspace which covers lots of different topics in flexible time frames like 3, 5, 10 and 20-minute sessions. Although I have not achieved complete consistency, it is a goal I am working towards.
KARMANT Learning 📰
This month, I joined a nonprofit called KARMANT Learning, which focuses on youth wellbeing and life skills. I will be working on the Health Letter which I hope will make a positive impact on others while 10X(ing) my communication skills.
I hope to get up to speed this month and start my commitment.

Looking into a new type of GAN called WAVEGAN
Starting to listen to more podcasts (one of my favourites include CBC’s Under the Influence)
Write an article related to my focus
Have ~20 more braindates
